Holy shiznats… the new site is coming along very nicely indeed.. in fact I sat staring at it in Photoshop for at least half an hour, such was my awe at the minimalistic masterpiece i have created.. Ok so it wasn’t the best design in the world… but there are a fucking ton of sites in the world ya get me?
No but seriously, its good to actually have a design that doesnt make me want to run screaming into the woods with embarrassment. Even this one, which i must admit i thought was simple but good (I was intentionally going for the Lego look is now horrible and totally OLD SKOOL MAAAAN!! But it has served its purpose well
I only have a week or so to finish the basics for the new site before it is meant to go live so i had better get crackin’ man! I must say, personal deadlines are great… They are a great motivator and you only feel a slight twinge of embarrassment when they fly by at Mach5

P.S. The site redesign was going well until i realised that i didn’t actually like the design at all… so I am redesignin’ it all.. AGAIN!!

Aiwa have just released a cool black thingy that is the physical size of an iPod mini but lighter in weight. Unlike the iPod mini tho, it doesn’t look crap! (I personally dont like the shape or colour of the mini… Come to think of it, I don’t like the price either)
Apparently the HZ-WS2000 (catchy name) will have a 2GB storage capability and will sell for under £200. This means you will be able to store approximately 500 songs on this baby. And, yes, that may not be your entire record collection but most of your songs are shit anyway. Go on admit it.

Apologies for the lack of interesting news etc recently. Things will be quiet until the end of the month when the new site comes online.

Holy shit, that was a cool cocktail party. I especially liked the bit where a bunch of drunk dickheads showed up and started hassling us because they used to live there for some period of time in the past. One girl seemed to be really having trouble getting used to the idea that gasp other people would be living in the house after she left. Poor girl, oh well if she was anywhere near as pissed as I was at one point I can understand why she was having trouble understanding things…
Girl: “I used to live here and its really hard to see other people in my room ya know?“
Me: “No, not really.“
Girl: “Oh.”
Me: “…lag“
Anyway, eventually one of the guys was found asleep in Ruth’s bed and so they were thrown out… But not before they managed to write “Fuck you cunts. This is our house” on the front door in permanent marker!! As I said, it was a cool party!
The rest of the night was a jumbled mix of Vodka, Tequila, Sangria and other things that end in ‘a’. Leigh brought over some breaks from his vinyl collection and another guy called kai (or kye, goddamn hip-hop groupie chicks wouldn’t tell me for some reason… you had to be there) showed up with some hip-hop (don’t stop the rock… for real) and dj’d for a bit.
The chick who owned the decks (second-hand Numarks) had a bangin’ d’nb collection that she had got with the turntable purchase so of course I had to jump on after Leigh and K[yeĤai] had had a go and rip it up on the wheels o’ steel!!
Luckily by this time everyone was pissed as a pissed hamster in a brewery (assuming of course it had fallen into a vat of something alcoholic) so my tequila fueled dj-ing session went down without a hitch apart from the odd K[yeĤai] groupie asking me if I had any hip hop to play oh yeah and the fact that the amp would blow whenever the sound output went above 6. But yeah, apart from that it was great The experience that is, not the dj-ing… I started crossfading from deck to deck without beat matching at one point and no one noticed. Hehe, alcohol is your friend

Site Update 0
Well I finally got Movable Type running last night.
MT is the blogging tool I am going to be using to update this site in the future instead of Blogger because of its better feature set.
So now thats done all I need to do is finish the actual site design and build the templates in Photoshop. This is about 50% done at the moment so shouldnt take too long to finish.
If anyone has any ideas about what they would like to see on ashmodeus.com in the future (i’m already planning a movie and music review section) then let me know.

We’re back!!
New York was totally farkin cool and I’ll tell you all about it when I can be bothered (ie after i have actually slept at all). This time we had our digicam so there is a small possibility that the photos will get online before the innernet (I speak american now) becomes self-aware and enslaves humanity and starts to export us to other planets as mindless robotic sex slaves and (i need sleep)…
Tomorrow is Sunday so maybe something will happen then… In an infinite universe and all that, at least I have already downloaded them all to the computer! No more scanning stuff for me maaaaaaaann!! My, punctuation. Sucks;
