Holy shit, that was a cool cocktail party. I especially liked the bit where a bunch of drunk dickheads showed up and started hassling us because they used to live there for some period of time in the past. One girl seemed to be really having trouble getting used to the idea that gasp other people would be living in the house after she left. Poor girl, oh well if she was anywhere near as pissed as I was at one point I can understand why she was having trouble understanding things…

Girl: “I used to live here and its really hard to see other people in my room ya know?“
Me: “No, not really.“
Girl: “Oh.”
Me: “…lag“

Anyway, eventually one of the guys was found asleep in Ruth’s bed and so they were thrown out… But not before they managed to write “Fuck you cunts. This is our house” on the front door in permanent marker!! As I said, it was a cool party!

The rest of the night was a jumbled mix of Vodka, Tequila, Sangria and other things that end in ‘a’. Leigh brought over some breaks from his vinyl collection and another guy called kai (or kye, goddamn hip-hop groupie chicks wouldn’t tell me for some reason… you had to be there) showed up with some hip-hop (don’t stop the rock… for real) and dj’d for a bit.

The chick who owned the decks (second-hand Numarks) had a bangin’ d’nb collection that she had got with the turntable purchase so of course I had to jump on after Leigh and K[ye¦ai] had had a go and rip it up on the wheels o’ steel!!

Luckily by this time everyone was pissed as a pissed hamster in a brewery (assuming of course it had fallen into a vat of something alcoholic) so my tequila fueled dj-ing session went down without a hitch apart from the odd K[ye¦ai] groupie asking me if I had any hip hop to play oh yeah and the fact that the amp would blow whenever the sound output went above 6. But yeah, apart from that it was great The experience that is, not the dj-ing… I started crossfading from deck to deck without beat matching at one point and no one noticed. Hehe, alcohol is your friend
