I finally got around to getting my eyes tested the other day and was pleased to find that although I am short sighted (which I knew) I technically don’t need to wear glasses to drive anymore. Which is sort of strange because the DMV (or whatever we call it here) thought I did when I first got my license.

I have a theory (that the eye tester guy didn’t believe) that the less you wear your glasses the less your eyes deteriorate. This might sound crazy but nearly everyone I know who wears glasses regularly has found that they need to get a stronger lenses after a while I, who hardly ever wore my glasses when had them (I’ve had them since Year 9 and then lost them on the train in London shortly after I arrived), can still see and apparently my sight has even improved!!

I still keep mistaking the Exotic Cars billboard on my way to work for an Erotic Cars billboard but that is probably more to do with my brain than my peepers

I think it’s time everyone just took a minute out of their chocolate fueled bonanza to think about what the real Easter is all about. Easter isn’t just about giant rabbits leaving trails of chocolate eggs for children to find and become clinically obese eating. No, its more than that!

Easter is also about getting extremely drunk and running around until the early hours with no pants on! Easter is about going clubbing two nights in a row and then going to the pub on the third day! Thats what it is all about!

I am saddened to find that a great many people have forgotten this true message of Easter amongst all this talk about oversized slightly pedeophillic rabbits and hippies being nailed to crosses for eating too many mushrooms and talking to trees.

You have four days off work so you might as well make the most of it. Never forget the true message…

I was going to write a massive post about the current World Expo in Japan and about just how cool the field of robotics is getting these days but I think this photo says it all really… COOL!

RoboOne is a totally awesome bipedal robot fighting competition that takes place annually in Japan. Oh yeah, i did say bipedal? Yeah the Japanese seem to think it is perfectly normal to just whip up a 2 legged droid with more moves than Ryu in their shed (Er, i mean cupboard probably). Everyone else is happy if they get their box on wheels rolling across the floor without exploding!

I bet some contestants are gonna be hella pissed when they find out that they can’t enter the 50ft UltraAngry MegaDeath RoboSquid 5000 they just spent the last year making!

Thanks to my totally awesome girlfriend I have an action packed birthday weekend ahead of me including going out for dinner tonight and seeing Cirque du Soleil on Sunday. And its a long weekend!! And Rox bought me tickets to a wine tasting event for next weekend! Sideways here I come!

Saw a really cool thing while I was watching CSI: Las Vegas today! (Chris, you’ll like this one…)

One of the dude had been questioning some guy on the whereabouts of a missing girl (You know the drill). After finding out where she was the the dude sent a team of officers around to a hotel room and guess what the officers found when they arrived??!!!

An empty room with a TV playing an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force!!!! How hilarious! Ok, I thought it was great at least….

Ok, that was suppose to sound like a formula one car caning it around a race track but once again the primitive constructs of the English language have let me down in my time of greatest need. Or something.

The Melbourne Grand Prix is on and when I turn the TV (so basically never) down I can hear it from my living room! It is so loud that when I am walking down Chapel St (so basically all of the time) it sounds as if Shuey himself is about to appear around a corner and run me over. That would make the rich bastards with their porsches and ferarris take notice! Or something.

I think I might have to go to the GP next year to see what all of the fuss is about…. I couldn’t be bothered this year. I did just get the broadband at home you know…. Or…… something…..

On every IE browser I test it on they are miles down the page… I haven’t even changed anything yet and already my templates are broken! Farkin IE….

See what you get when I get broadband at home? Three posts in two days and rants about boring subjects that meander aimlessly around something that is not so much a point as a nubbin (I dont know what a nubbin is either but I imagine its blunter than a point)!

Crap! I thought that once I left the UK I wouldn’t have to deal with any royal bollocks ever again but while I was away some random aussie girl somehow managed to meet and get married to the Danish crown prince (of all people)!!!

They are visiting Australia at the moment and the news is just lapping it up, “Our Mary,” they say like they cared before five minutes ago. All of a sudden “royal watchers” (Just as useless as socialites but older) are springing up everywhere poking their nose in the couple’s business and disapproving of everything they ever do…. GET A FUCKING LIFE!!! (Or go to england you will fit right in)

Why the hell isn’t Australia a republic already????!!! The English still think we are a bunch of sausage barbequing surfie convicts (nice climate though…) so I can’t for the life of me work out why we have their crusty old boss as our head of state still.

The basic concept of a monarchy is ok. In fact there is something wonderfully decadent about the fact that its power is passed down through the bloodlines whether the recipient is fit to rule or not but it’s really annoying hearing about the queen when from our point of view (sorry english chums, i’ve switched sides quickly! :)) no one here knows or cares about her. Ok maybe thats a bit harsh but its true!

Actually here in Victoria (For fucks sake Australia, make up some names instead of just stealing em from england!) no one even gives a crap about Western Australia so maybe its just because the country is too big for its own good!

My suggestion? Ditch the Queen and get an emperor as our head of state! And a Space Pope! With a papal Deathstar! Ok never mind…

Because I am using the default Wordpress 1.5 skin for the first time in ages all of the features work on my site!!! (The thud of bodies hitting the ground can faintly be heard as people faint at the news). Yeah so leave me some comments guys, I haven’t been able to hear from you for fuckin ages!!

I just changed the dns servers for ashmodeus.com a couple of minutes ago and the change went through immediately (from my point of view at least). I thought it was going to take two days or something so its really cool that it happened so quickly. Although maybe you guys can’t actually see it yet….. I’m not totally down with tha DNS possie yo.
