Digg.com 0

In an attempt to start getting back to normal I have decided to finally post about a site called Digg.com (Most of you have probably heard about it already actually).

It’s like slashdot except without all the dickheads (at the moment) and looks heaps better as well.

There are some really good articles on there from time to time and I keep meaning to tell you guys about the interesting ones but I am so buys I keep forgetting.

Check it out here

In memory of Adam… Comments Off

On Monday I arrived at work to find that Adam Hart, my friend and boss at Freshtel, had been killed the day before in a motorcycle accident on the Great Ocean Road.

Adam was a really funny guy, always ready to crack a joke or give you shit about something or other. We didn’t hang out much outside work but I could tell from the day that I was interviewed by him and John that we were going to become really good mates because we have a really similar sense of humour. At work we called him ‘Doctor Dodge’ because some of his solutions to things were, shall we say, ‘unconventional’ but it was always a joke because in reality he was an excellent coder/sysadmin/engineer and knew pretty much everything about all the aspects of our work at Freshtel as he had been involved with them from day one.

He also totally loved motorbikes and had just recently got a new Yamaha a couple of weeks ago. Whenever we went anywhere in town he would often run off to look at a random bike parked somewhere. Nearly all of my friends who own bikes have had at least two accidents on them so it seems like just bullshit random chance that he was killed. This sort of shit always happens to someone else and you watch it on the news and you think to yourself ‘Wow, bikes are fucking dangerous/He was probably speeding/It was bad weather and then something like this happens and you realise that you and everyone else has been in the same situation at one point or the other in their lives and its just dumb luck that you survived and they didnt.

We are all attempting to cope at work but I have a feeling that most of us are still in shock and have yet to fully comprehend what this all means. My moods have been all over the place as I keep realising that this isn’t a bad dream and Adam isn’t going to jump out from behind something laughing at our gullibility. Most of the other guys seem ok but if they are anything like me they are just trying to lose themselves in work. It’s only until I get home and have time to think about it that I really feel fucked up.

The service is on Friday so I’m hoping that that helps us somehow. I dunno.

I don’t know what else to say really, its just totally and utterly fucked.

My thoughts are with his family and all who knew him.

None of us are gonna forget you mate.

OMGROFLMAOBBQ!! A POST!! 8

Bless me father for I have sinned.

It has been an absoutely fuckload of time since my last post.

I don’t know why exactly but I have a feeling it has something to do with the crabs fact that work is totally mental so by the time I get home thinking about things is quite low on the agenda.

So to that effect I have decided to suspend Ashmodeus.com for ever.

HAHA! Like fuck I have! This isn’t Dunstan’s weblog! This is ASHMODEUS.COM maaan!! And unlike him I’ve got heaps more 17 hour movies of small dogs playing in my garden for your enjoyment. I’ve got so much Crap Of The Day, when people see my colostomy bag they mistake me for Father Christmas! I’ve got a new site layout in the works, more tunes on the way and more pictures to put up in the Gallery!* K-RAD is the word. Ashmodeus.com is the place. Pressurised are my bowels!

Really, I have a lot of news to impart to you guys. First off, I finally bought a midi keyboard so I can now control all my shit in Cubase and Fruity properly. It’s an Evolution MK449c and is totally rockin’ the b0xen. Also Rox and I bought mp3 players (she bought a mini and I bought an iRivier) which is cool cos I can finally listen to my tunes on the way to work. They are both totally rockin’ the box3en.

We also bought some japanese furniture and stuff including some awesome Global kitchen knives which… are rockin the boxen! (Ed: wtf does that mean?). Did I mention we both got massive amounts of tax back? Yes, that explains it.

Melbourne is a really great place to live. There is heaps of stuff to do here (which I never do cos I am busy making tunes) and I am really enjoying living here. We are planning to stay here for a couple of years at least and then see where the wind takes us! I really need to post some pics - I won’t even apologise anymore cos it doesn’t necessarily mean that I’ll get around to doing it! :)

Yeah so thats whats going on with me at the moment. Oh yeah I nearly forgot, Rox got a really good job with GE recently so we are happy about that and my work is really interesting still so thats also good.

I’ll try to post some Crap Of The Day soon. You guys have been sending me stuff but I have been too busy/forgetful to actually post it. I’ll rectify that soon (hehe, I said rectify).

L8rs, for now!
