Can I just do a litte survey here?… Do you guys actually do anything anymore?
I seriously can’t be bothered doing anything at all apart from work and I think that is just because it involves a lot of sitting down! I get home and I try to do work on any of the 500 other projects I have on the go at the moment and seriously, 5 seconds later my brain is all like, “Dude, fuck this, how ’bout we just go to the fridge and get another beer?”. Which I of course agree whole heartedly to.
So what about you? Do you guys get any of the shit you think about doing outside of work done anymore? And…

It’s Too F***ing Hot. Part XIIVX 0
Did I mention how goddamn hot it is here at the moment?
It was Australia Day yesterday and a couple of me mates (Seb and Jo) were over from PerthLand so we decided to go to the beach for a bit to see if we could step on any broken bottles. Rox, being sane, warned me against going because it was forecast to be over 40degs during the day and everytime I go to the beach when it’s hot I whinge like a swedish schoolgirl who has been forced to go to the beach when it is too hot. Or something.
Anyway, we went and I swear I nearly exploded from the heat. At one point I tried to work out who I could text to tell them where to find my corpse but I couldn’t see the screen of my phone through the heat haze and sweat beads. Luckily I found a bar that sold Cascade Blonde and managed to top up my inner hops reserve with some life giving beer. Still it was a close call. Jo actually thought it wasn’t that hot and kept saying so throughout the day but she’s English and if anyone is going to sit around in 450 x 10^12 degree heat and tell you its lovely its an English person
That evening we went out to Southbank and watched the fireworks which was pretty cool. They lasted for only 5 mins but that was fine as there was probably a total fireban in place and the joint was starting to get smoked out pretty badly. 11:45pm and drinks later we stumbled onto a train to go home. I love being able to get home in about 20 mins these days. None of that waiting around shit anymore!!!
Then I attempted to sleep. Imagine a turkish bath except without the burly men trying to serrupticiously grope your nads and you will have an idea of how hot it was in our bedroom last night. When it started raining I thought that possibly I would get throught the night without melting into my bed but that just made it humid!!! At one point I woke up and found that I could actually swim through the air to the toilet!! I was like a giant goldfish, except I was human shaped and black instead of fish shaped and gold. It was fucking crazy!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, my rant on global warming, unavailability of air conditioning and other unrelated matters is over. Now all I have to do is sit in my office’s awesome conditioned air and drink water until my urine stops looking like guano
