IT’S FULLY TAX DEDUCTIBLE!!!!! ;) 0

waterdrips.jpg

Just thought I would get that out of the way before I started ;) Thanks to all of you who have already donated, it’s much appreciated!

Here is the link if you guys want to donate to our team for the Trailwalker. Please donate as much as you can as it’s fully tax deductible and the money will go to a whole lot of poeple who would otherwise have nothing!

It’s easy to ignore all this sort of stuff when you see so much bollocks on TV and your major decision for the day is whether or not to buy the Grande or Venti Frappachino with gold sprinkles on top but unfortunately for a lot of people in the world life pretty much sucks, all of the time. Oxfam is committed to trying to make a better future for these people which sounds clichéd but is in fact awesome.

So go on, donate and help out today!! :) Whoooooooo! Tell your friends!! Ash is gonna murder his legs for charity!

Donate via the Website - Our team name is “Team Wedgie”

Walk

Hey guys, long time no post!

I have been meaning to write a post about the Trailwalker for ages and now finally, after the 13 planets have come into alignment… I am!
First off, in case you don’t have a clue what the Oxfam Trailwalker is exactly, let me esplain (sp)…

First, imagine the Nike 10km run.

Then multiply it by 10.

Then walk it in under 40 hours.

Then you have what Rox and I and the rest of Team Wedgie are going to attempt in early April. A trek that begins in Jells Park Conference Centre, Wheelers Hill and ends on the summit of Mt Donna Buang. 100km of hell in under 2 days and IT ENDS ON THE TOP OF A FREAKIN MOUNTAIN!!!

Trail

Seriously dudes and dudettes, I feel like i’m having a bit of Rumsfeld moment here…

“Reports that say that something hasn’t happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don’t know we don’t know.”

In my case I know that this is going to be hell but the unknown unknown is exactly how much hell it will be exactly. I have a feeling I don’t know exactly how much I don’t know how bad it’s gonna be. Or something. :)

Nah it should be ok as long as we prepare. Which is why both started Bootcamp last week and why we were doing sit-ups in the Botanical Gardens at 6:10am this morning! It’s tough but, actually, after being a slack bastard for so long it’s great to be getting active again.

I just have to avoid exploding my knees before the big day and all will be good. I hope! :)
